Fridays Frugal Finds June 25

Please excuse the strange spacing in this post. I have fixed it several times and it still is not right.
Guess how much I paid for everything in the first 2 pictures? $3 for 17 organic items!!! I bought everything from Green Acres, our local health food store. I am hoping that I am able to give you some ideas as to how you can do the same thing with whatever store you have in your town. You don't have to shop at the same place I do to find great deals. I think I will do a couponing tutorial for Mondays transition to healthy eating post. If anyone lives locally I would love to go shopping with you.
Here is how I managed these incredible finds...

I also had a couple of other small trips to Aldis and Dillons later in the week. When I am able to get home I will check totals for sure. I still have to make a trip up to the hospital today. My Aunt is having open heart surgery so things are a bit behind today.
Please leave a comment with your link to any great deals you found this week. I really am planning to get linking ability set up, but time has not permitted today. Thanks for understanding.

  2. That's fantastic. I need to check out our local health food stores. I wish we had Dillon's/Krogers. We did have Krogers all over the place like 10 years ago, but for some reason they all sold out or shut down. No stores in my town will double coupons either. I live in a very anti-coupon area lol.

  3. That's so awesome! I love it when I find things marked down at my local health food stores. It's always so awesome to get "real" food for cheap!

  5. You had some great finds. I wish my local natural food store(s) would mark merchandise down, as they would see me more often. The nearest natural foods store to me is very overpriced. It does have some okay sales on a few select items at any given time, but things are never marked down--at least not that I've ever seen.

  6. Wow! You did an awesome job there! We are not as fortunate to have any health food stores in our area. We are extremely limited to what our grocery stores even carry-- and I usually make a trip out of town to go to Kroger. I am curious though, what will you do with all the milk? I've heard that people freeze it, then just let it thaw when they need it. I've never had much success with freezing milk though. Just wondering about that. Loving your site, it's very hopeful for me even though I have to go out of town to get deals that great- I still do it at least every other week.

  12. keensensefortheobvious,

Yes, I do freeze the milk. This seems to work well for us. I just leave it in the sink to thaw over night and it is usually ready by morning.
