I love my cast iron skillet. Several years ago after learning how dangerous my non-stick skillets were I tossed them all and invested in some stainless steel and cast iron cookware. I have to say that I prefer the cast iron. Since it has to stay oiled between uses it is as close to non-stick as you can get without the nasty Teflon getting into your food. Another bonus of cast iron is that it allows small doses of iron to get into your food. I tend to be a bit on the anemic side since we eat very little meat so this is a plus for me.
